Our September Birthday Lunch was themed was "Dress to the Nines: A Black and White Formal". Residents were given a formal invitation to attend and were encouraged to dress in formal black and white. Our kitchen made a fancy Chicken Alfredo for lunch as well as a nice black and white truffle for dessert. After learning that this resident was an architect, we decided to try introducing him to the wooden blocks. Our Memory Care Director Megan sat down with him and asked if he could build her a house. He happily built different structures with the blocks for at least an hour! It was a delight to see as this resident is also one who does not always actively participate in activities.
