DCH was recently acknowledged for our excellence in infant and maternal health by the @Indiana Hospital Association! The Category of Excellence recognition is based on the implementation of best practices in five key areas, including infant safe sleep, breastfeeding, tobacco prevention and cessation, perinatal substance use, and obstetric hemorrhage. Christmas came a little early for Katie and Michael as they welcomed Jasmine Noelle to their family on Christmas Eve.
Jasmine (born a week before her due date) weighed in at 7 lbs., 7 oz. and delivered by Dr. Jonathan Frances. “Dr. Frances and the entire OB department were wonderful,” Katie explained. “Dr. Frances came in to check me and was wearing a Christmas sweater.”
The little family was able to go home on Christmas day where big brother, Jack, was waiting. “He loves his new baby sister,” Katie remarked.
The OB department at Daviess Community Hospital provided a gift basket for Jasmine to celebrate her Christmas birthday. Items in the basket include diapers, lotion, wipes, baby blanket, stuffed animal and more.
