Dr. Francesca A. Byrne is a board certified Pediatric Cardiologist with additional expertise in non-invasive imaging including fetal echocardiography.
Dr. Byrne completed undergraduate school at Dartmouth College, where she earned a bachelor's degree in French. She then obtained her medical degree at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver, where she was awarded for her exceptional commitment to medicine. She then completed her residency in Pediatrics at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center. She subsequently completed Pediatric cardiology fellowship training at the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Byrne is a board certified Pediatric Cardiologist and board certified Pediatrics with additional expertise in non-invasive imaging including fetal echocardiography. Her research on assessment of fetal hearts has been published by peer-reviewed scientific journals and has been presented at national and international cardiology conferences. She is a member of the American Society of Echocardiography, the American College of Cardiology, and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Byrne has staffing privileges at Long Beach Miller Children's, Fountain Valley Regional, Saddleback Memorial Medical Center, St Mary's Medical Center, Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), CHOC at Mission, Orange Coast Memorial, and St. Joseph Hospitals.
She enjoys teaching medical students and residents, and takes pride in practicing evidenced-based medicine.
