We are receiving hundreds of questions and endeavoring to answer them all, either directly or through posts that will reach many people. Please know that Division of Public Works employees are working and ready to remove trees and debris, and open roads as soon as JCP&L crews remove power lines. DPW cannot remove trees with power lines in them. Even if that is what JCPL tells you, it is JCPL tree crews that need to remove trees with power lines entwined. As soon as that work is done, we are on it. Ready to clear streets, open roads and do everything we can so that power can be restored to every resident ASAP.

There are JCP&L crews in Summit de-energizing power lines taken down by fallen trees. City DPW is following closely behind and removing trees as soon as it is safe to do so. This work is ongoing.
