Deferring Employee FICA May Not Make Sense
Happy 30th birthday to Candace Ho!
If you should have received an economic impact payment and it wasn't electronically deposited or you were not issued a check, you should have received a debit card. If your card was accidently lost or stolen, please see "What if I discarded or destroyed my EIP Card?" from the following FAQ.

Economic Impact Payment Card FAQs
Here is some helpful advice from our Windthorst office manager, Ted Neeb.
"Okay, finally an answer on stimulus payments received in error for a deceased taxpayer. If paper check received it should be marked “Void” on endorsement line on back, not stapled or bent and mailed along with a note stating reason returning check. If payment was already cashed or electronically deposited submit a check, money order, etc. immediately payable to “US Treasury” and write 2020EIP, and the deceased taxpayer social security number at bottom of check. Attach note with explanation why returning the payment.
Mail either of these if deceased taxpayer lived in Texas or Oklahoma to:
Austin Refund Inquiry Unit
3651 S Interregional Hwy 35
Mail Stop 6542
Austin, TX 78741
Trying to keep you posted"
The IRS recently issued clarified guidance that taxpayers have until July 15th to submit both first and second quarter estimated taxes for 2020. Please let us know if you have any questions related to this matter.
If you are an income tax filer, the IRS set up a tool to check your payment status for the Economic Impact Payment, confirm your payment type (direct deposit or check) and enter your bank account information for direct deposit.
Also, for those that aren't required to file a tax return, the IRS has a separate tool to track your payment status and enter your payment information.
