February is Dental Health Awareness Month here at Fremont Veterinary Hospital. According to the American Veterinary Dental Society, after pets reach the age of 3 years, 80% of dogs and 70% of cats will manifest some form of dental disease. This is why prevention with tooth brushing at least three times a week, dental chews, and regular exams are so important! Poor dental health, aside from the pain and infection in the mouth itself, can also lead to secondary diseases of the heart, lungs, sinuses and liver.
Dentals that are scheduled for February will receive 10% off of the dental procedures needed for the patient including radiographs, scaling and polishing (just like at your own dentist), and extractions! You weren't able to get in this month? We also celebrate Dental Month in August! Be sure to take advantage of other offers this month including 10% off of all dental preventative care including CET chews, toothpaste, and pre-dental medical exams.
