What a year 2020 has been. We started out like gang busters with both January and February looking great. Then came Covid. March - July were quite the struggle. We were able to pivot multiple times and keep things moving in the right direction. As a business, many of you all know if is just Tina and myself 100% invested in Frescos and running the day to day operations every day. We had several long and in-depth conversations about the direction Frescos should head during the shut down. We both agreed we should not alter our planned course for 2020 and to see where we would end up.
We choose to keep our full menu available thru out the shut down and once we were able to go back to 50% seating we unveiled our new menus for 2020. Frescos Dining Room was remodeled with new furniture, ceilings and HVAC System We upgraded our Kitchen Equipment and Banquet rooms. All while hiring back all of our employees in mid-June. Finally we continued our Social Media and advertising spend as planned. Was a huge leap of faith on our part but as we fade into the twilight of this unmatched year, we really made the right decisions. Unfortunately our industry will take years to fully recover.
Tina and I cannot thank the Lakeland (and surrounding area) Community for your ongoing and generous loyalty to ourselves. and our staff. You all have allowed Frescos to recover and continue to grow as a business.
With this being said, we have made the decision to close the next 5 days (Dec 28-Jan 1) in order to allow ourselves and our staff the time to recover and recharge for what hopes to be an outstanding 2021. Frescos will be back open normal business hours starting Saturday, January 2 at am for our amazing Brunch.
