Dr. Stuart Friedman has been practicing on Montague Street since 1987. He is an alumni of the New England College of Optometry in Boston. He is a strong believer in private practice and feels that independant optometrists are becoming harder to find. The commercial chains are taking over the eye care business and when it comes to personalized service they really can't do what a private practitioner can. His practice has been on the Montague Street for over 20 years and patients he saw when they were children are now bringing in their own children as new patients. "I really can't see myself practicing anywhere but in Brooklyn Heights. I feel so connected to this community...it's my home away from home and I love the people here."
