Last night, Amy Recco, owner of Friends for Life Homecare, and Melanie Duffy, owner of Broadway Gourmet Caterers, were honored and recognized with an award for all of their community service. We are so excited and proud of our boss, Amy, and all that she does for the community. Amy and Melanie brought Friends for Life and Broadway Gourmet together during COVID-19 and donated hundreds of lunches to those working the front lines and to those in our community. During what was such a hard time for many, they did everything they can to lift others. Congratulations, we cannot think of anyone who deserves this award more than the both of you ❤️🎉🎈

Before the Pandemic, our Friends for Life team was so active in multiple senior centers throughout our communities, especially the McKenna Senior Center. We haven't been able to get together with them in over 8 months, but we have missed them all dearly. The team sent post cards to each and every senior to let them know we are always thinking of them❤️ We cannot wait to get together with our Friends from all of the senior centers once it is safe again. 🥰

Sunday October 4th, Friends for Life joined many of the other Babylon businesses in it’s 6th Annual Babylon Village Shopping Crawl. Tons of residents stopped by to spin the wheel and claimed prizes throughout the day from Friends for Life Goodies to a variety of Gift Cards. We thank the local businesses throughout the village for their generous gift cards for the day’s giveaways! Friends for Life raffled a gorgeous gift basket and all the proceeds generated went to our “Feed a Senior” program. We had so much fun participating in this year’s crawl and look forward to elevating the fun at the next event!
This past Saturday, Friends for Life Participated in a shopping event in the Village of Babylon! People of all ages were strolling the Village and supporting local shops. Many Babylon residents had the opportunity to spin our "Friends for Life prize wheel" for a chance to win awesome gift cards from local venders. We also had a great deal of people participate in our "Feed a Senior" Raffle that will be pulled later this week. All proceeds from the raffle will go towards feeding seniors in our community. Sunday, November 1st, marked the start of National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month. Our Friends for Life team kicked off the month by sponsoring the Alzheimer's Foundation of America's, "Walk in the Park" for our third consecutive year. We met at Babylon Town Hall's Respite Relief Park and walked for a good cause. Hundreds of people from all over the country participated in a virtual walk to support the foundation. What a great way to kick off National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month!❤️💙💜

Our friends at Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation need our help‼️ Parker Jewish Institute has a caregiver program that provides for free support and services to those who are caring for someone with Alzheimer's disease or another dementia. Today is National Letters to Elders Day! Today is a day to encourage others to write letter to an elder who inspires them. Friends for Life wrote letters to seniors this month for Valentines Day and we received the sweetest photos back from our friends at The Bristal Assisted Living. We are SO happy to see these wonderful faces light up🤩🥰❤
Today we had our final food drop-off to St. Rose of Lima Outreach. Back in the winter we had a massive food drive collecting hundreds of donations for the food pantry. Thank you to everyone who helped make this such a success!❤🥰✨🥫
