"When I first came in to see Summer, I was in a lot of pain. Most movement involving my shoulder resulted in sharp pain that would slowly subside, just in time for me to need to use my shoulder muscles again. Now I am able to move with full motion in most ways, and close to full motion in all other ways.
My concerns about COVID were always respected and my worries about face masks were always understood. During a time when the country is so divided about so many things, it was nice to have my reservations and worries respected, no matte what the personal thoughts and opinions of the staff might have been.
I received nothing but the best service and highest level of professionalism - but also a friendly atmosphere which always made me feel welcomed. Thank you!"

"I was referred to Fritz PT by a neighbor. I was thoroughly impressed with my therapist Summer and the team working with her. They are all professional and work well together to meet the needs of every client. Both the therapist and the owner kept me updated on any insurance and approval for future visits. My case was complicated by a repeat rotator cuff repair after a serious fall and fracture. My recovery was slower and Fritz PT staff consistently re-evaluated my progress and changed or added to my plan of care so my end result was a success. This team went above and beyond. I highly recommend the and won't hesitate to return for future needs. Thank you Fritz Staff for giving me my quality of lift back!"

"Physical therapists diagnose and treat individuals of all ages, from newborns to people at the end of life. Many patients have injuries, disabilities, or other health conditions that need treatment. But PTs also care for people who simply want to become healthier and to prevent future problems.
Physical therapists examine each person and then develop a treatment plan to improve their ability to move, reduce or manage pain, restore function, and prevent disability.
Physical therapists can have a profound effect on people’s lives. They help people achieve fitness goals, regain or maintain their independence, and lead active lives."

Not only can physical therapy help decrease your pain and help improve your motion and everyday function... there are also several other often overlooked benefits of PT:
1. PT can help you avoid opioids! The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) encourages health care providers to reduce the use of opioids in favor of safe alternatives like physical therapy for most long-term pain.
2. PT can help you avoid surgery! Before you undergo expensive or invasive surgery, try physical therapy. In many cases, PT is actually just as effective as surgery!
Joint pain such as bursitis is a commonly experienced type of pain across the globe. If you have been noticing pain in one of your joints, it could be a sign of bursitis. Fortunately, physical therapy can help! Contact us today at Fritz Physical Therapy!

Does your work from home job cause you to sit for many hours per day? Do you notice that your hips are stiff when you first stand up?
Give this stretch a try!
Half-Kneeling Hip Flexor Stretch (picture 1):
1. Begin in a half kneeling position with one knee bent in front of your body. Place a pillow under your knee for comfort.
2. Tighten your abdominals and buttocks and gently push your hips forward. Don't let your back arch. You should feel a stretch in the front of your hip.
3. Make sure to keep your hips facing forward and back straight during the exercise.
Quad Stretch Progression (picture 2):
1. Begin in a half kneeling position with your back foot up on a chair behind you and your hips facing forward. Place a pillow under your knee for comfort.
2. Shift your weight forward, pressing both your hips forward at the same time. Don't let your back arch. Hold this position. You should feel a stretch on the front of your hip and thigh.
3. Make sure to stay upright and keep your buttocks tight.

Try some of our favorite exercises this weekend... side steps and monster walks!
Side Steps:
- Begin with your feet hip width apart, a loop band around your ankles, and a slight bend in your knees. (You can also do this without the loop band!) Keep your core tight and your trunk upright.
- Step to the side keeping your toes pointing forward, then bring your other foot back to hip width. Complete 10 steps and then repeat in the opposite direction.
Monster Walks:
- Start in the same position as side steps with a slight bend in your knee and an optional loop band around your ankles.
- Take a wide step forward with one foot, bring your feet together, then take a wide step forward with your other foot keeping the band taut the whole time.
- Keep your feet facing forward, core tight, and trunk upward.
