Pythons by the numbers, some estimates reach 100,000. For this exercise we will use a fair count of 30,000 animals. At 10% for breeding females and a hatch rate of 30 babies per female that is 90,000 new snakes a year. Take away 2/3rds for predation that leaves 30,000 more pythons reeking havoc in in the Everglades every year. The python bowl with 750 registrants netted 80 animals in 10 days. This done every 10 days would remove 2920 snakes per year. With my estimates 82 pythons per day would need to be removed just to hold the line. My trap is 100% humane and harmless for all native species, with this trap and correct strategies it is my contention we can remove 100 animals a day.
