Also let us know at least a day early if you need a written prescription or something telephoned to a local pharmacy. Getting a chance for the appropriate doctor to check the chart, confirm the dose and dosing, and authorize the next step can take a day (or more) depending on whether she is working in our building or at the shelter.

The J. M. Smucker Company today announced a voluntary recall of one lot of Natural Balance® Ultra Premium Chicken & Liver Paté Formula canned cat food due to health concerns likely associated with elevated levels of choline chloride.
If pet parents have any product matching the following description in their possession, they should stop feeding it to their cats and dispose of the product. This information can be found on the bottom of each can.

We are now fully stocked with all sizes of Simparica Trio, a prescription combination medication for dogs that takes care of the common internal intestinal parasites, heartworm prevention, and external parasites including fleas and TICKS. Less expensive than taking Sentinel and Nexgard to cover the same parasites. Call our office to get information.

Appointments
Thank you to all our clients (returning and/or new) making appointments for care at Fur and Feathers Veterinary Care. For illness, injury, and emergency, we are trying to fit appointments in same day or next morning – but we are running a waiting list for these slots. We are seeing routine appointments usually within a week – but each time slot is precious and we have waiting lists for these times also.
Please be considerate and call at least the day before your appointment if you will be cancelling or rescheduling or no longer plan to use that time slot. We will be better able to serve the clients with ill, injured, or an emergency with their pet(s).
If you will not be able to be here by your scheduled arrival time, also please call as soon as possible so we can try to re-arrange or reschedule that time.

Fur and Feathers Vet Care regrets to inform clients that due to Covid19 related restrictions, we will need to severely limit the number of clients to be seen daily for at least 2 to 4 weeks. We regret that this will require a lot of rescheduling. Severely ill patients will need to be referred elsewhere for care; please seek emergency care at emergency facilities.
Due to an abundance of caution for our staff, our families, and our clients, we will not be allowing a client to accompany pet(s) into our office as of today until further notice. We will be doing curbside check-in (by phone), transfer pet from owner to vet staff in the vestibule between the front doors, payment (credit card preferred) over the phone, and return of pet to O in the vestibule at the front of our office.
The doctors will telephone from the exam rooms to discuss details of history and symptoms as well as plan and approval by owner.
Besure to have your cell phone with you and accessible in the car.
We regret that this will take a little more time and effort, but everyone's health (both people and pets) is important to us.
