Does anyone know what is the function of a Cabin Air filter? It filters the air from the outside that comes into your car when the AC or heat is on...this pic is 2 things.
1. Super dirty and hasn't been changed in a long time.
2. A home for a critter 🐀 as depicted by the twigs and droppings.
Add this to your To Do list-check your cabin air filter (if your car has one) and get rodent deterring packs installed under your hood if you've noticed rodent activity.

For some of us, we may not be driving as much as we used too. Most car batteries which are in good condition will last at least two weeks without needing you to start the car and drive to recharge it, according to the AAA. But if you don't intend to drive your car for some time for whatever reason, you should still start it up once a week to recharge.
If you find your car won't start and a simple jump doesn't help, give us a call and have your car towed to us. We can do a Charging System test and determine if it needs a new battery or possibly something else.

It's not just about miles: If you don't drive your car a lot, your oil still needs to be kept fresh. Even if you drive fewer miles each year than your automaker suggests changing the oil (say, 6,000 miles, with suggested oil-change intervals at 7,500 miles), you should still be getting that oil changed twice a year. Oil and oil filters are cheap, engines are not.

We diagnosed the misfire on this small block Chevy. The lash adjustment nut was loose causing the rocker arm to fall off of the pushrod. Installed a new lash adjustment locknut, set the valve adjustment to specifications and now she runs perfect!

Over the weekend, Brad, the owner of Furgerson's Garage, Escondido Auto Tech and Owens Automotive, hosted a Car Clinic for the mothers and daughters of the National Charity League in Solana Beach. Brad went over tire inspection & how to take tire pressure, checking fluid levels and adding fluids if necessary, how to properly jumpstart a dead battery, what to carry in your vehicle in case of emergencies, the importance of your owners manual, dashboard warning lights-what do they mean and how should you react to them? He left the group gift bags that included a tire pressure gauge and pocket screwdriver.
