We got to meet all of the animals today at West Place Animal Sanctuary. Located in Tiverton, RI. West Place Animal Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. They provide housing, food and medical care for injured and orphaned wild waterfowl and wild game birds as well as farm animals and elderly horses that are victims of cruelty and neglect, furnishing both short-term and long-term care. Heidi and Henry (previously Nelson) both came into care with Opie’s Bulldog Rescue as puppies. They are not from the same litter and came from different states. Heidi and Henry were adopted at different times to the same family, but the family is soon to be in a situation where they can not meet the daily needs of the pups. Both pups reside in a mid central state and are in the same home. They do get along and can be adopted out together to the right home, but they can also be separated out to different homes.
Heidi (fawn and white) was born September 5, 2019. She is spayed and has been microchipped and registered. Heidi has a more laid back personality and likes to nap and play with her toys. Good with adults, kids and other dogs. Unknown for cats. Heidi’s health is current and she is special needs. Heidi has a form of spina bifida or spinal cord defect and is fully incontinent…….she will always require a diapering system.
Henry (white) was born December 7, 2019. He was recently neutered and had a cherry eye repair. He is microchipped and registered. Henry is has more of a busy personality and likes to play. He has energy! Good with adults, kids and other dogs. Unknown for cats. Henry’s health is current and he is special needs. Henry has a form of spina bifida or spinal cord defect and is fully incontinent…….he will always require a diapering system.
Opie’s Special Needs English Bulldog Rescue homes in 48 of 50 states in the US only. Opie’s Rescue has a lifetime contract that requires 5-6 updates a calendar year for the life of the dog. Opie’s Rescue provides extended support and some extended services for the life of the dog. Opie’s Rescue does not have an adoption fee.
