In the wise words of our VP of Information Technology, change your passwords and update your data! Luckily, the #FuseFamily is reminded of this on a pretty regular basis. But on a more serious note, we’re celebrating Chuck this #nationaltechiesday for helping us with all of our tech needs - whether it’s help with laptop updates, Zoom, Outlook, or anything in between. We can’t thank you enough for your continuous help!
We're so excited to hear that our agency has been nominated as one of the top Boston ad agencies. So now, we'd love your help in proving it! If podcasts were "hot" before, recent trends in audio engagement show they've now burst into flame. With a total audience growing at a compound average growth rate of 20%, Nielsen predicts the U.S. podcast audience will potentially double by 2023. And fascinatingly, podcast growth seems to be complimenting rather than cannibalizing other media channels - proving that while the day only has 24 hours in it, there's somehow always time for more content, and more opportunity for content creators. This #internationalpodcastday, tune in to your favorite, or check out our story to see what the #FuseFamily is listening to! #podcast #mediaindustry

Hulu, Sling TV, Apple+, Peacock, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, Netflix, HBO Max, Disney Plus, Acorn, Paramount+, Pluto, broadcast networks and cable networks. This is simply a partial list of streaming video services available to the average viewer. If you’re looking for Quibi, it is no more. With a clear target of younger viewers, who they felt would embrace their 10-minute programming and cheaper cost, Quibi had a goal of 7.4 million users by the end of the year. They only reached 500,000. One of the main attractions of streaming is the freedom from paying a $100 cable bill. But all of the a la carte services quickly add up and become very expensive. Not all will survive! For many of our Fuseideas clients, we frequently use a programmatic model for streaming video, so we’re not relying on any one service. We can make sure our ads are targeted to the right person across any number of platforms. This helps us to efficiently maximize reach against the desired audience. Magazines are one of the few traditional tactics to grow over the past decade, primarily because the content easily and successfully translates to digital. In fact, the number of magazine readers, print and digital, has increased to 228.7M in 2019 from 210.7 in 2012. Most importantly, it is not only a medium where ads are expected, they are actually embraced. People read magazines that specifically align with their interests, and ads can be an extension of the content. Because there are so many creative opportunities that magazines offer, we at Fuseideas recently placed a print ad targeted at home owners who may be looking for an update in local editions of HGTV and Food Network Magazine. Advertising in the local edition of a national magazine can be a great way to harness the power of print and efficiently engage a loyal and targeted audience. #magazine #hgtv #foodnetwork

For our destination clients, we’re helping uncover new opportunities to reach the right audiences every day. Today is National Boss's Day. At Fuseideas, this is chance to express our deep appreciation for the real sacrifices leadership is asked to make to keep an independent agency, like ours, going. The extra hours, the skipped weekends, running on caffeine instead of sleep. So for every leader who genuinely gives of themselves, out of generosity of spirit and concern for their team, we salute you. Because we know that's how true, lasting success is built: sacrifice, humility, compassion and determination. Let's never stop swinging. #nationalbossday #agencylife #fusefamily
Now more than ever, higher ed should look to adult students. Pandemic/holiday travel updates: based on comparisons to 2019, it looks like 25% fewer Americans anticipate traveling for the 2020 holiday season. Destination Analysts’ new “ Coronavirus Traveler Sentiment Index Study” says that, relative to last year, 27.8% plan to decrease their spending on holiday trips. At the same time, 46.3% of Americans say they are likely to skip one or more holiday gatherings due to safety concerns. None of which is great news for travel and destination-related clients. But in terms of marcom opportunity: we continue to see strong evidence that a concerted emphasis on publicizing your sanitizing protocols and best health practices is bearing results. Today, Fuseideas remembers, recognizes, and honors all those who have served. We wish to especially acknowledge Dennis Franczak, our CEO, for his 7 years of service in the United States Air Force. With honor and respect, thank you to all of our veterans. ”As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them." - John F. Kennedy
First things first: our partners at TF Green Airport (PVD) were recently named one of the top four airports in the nation. Now, they’ve announced a series of initiatives focused on ensuring best health & safety practices, making new improvements to the airport, and emphasizing the ease of traveling to the airport—under campaigns they’ve designated as “SAFE”, “CARES”, and “EASE.” As a community outreach program, they’ve partnered with newportFILM to host free drive-in movie events at the airport. As their agency partner, we offer kudos and encouragement to T.F Green on their recent achievements, and ongoing commitment to safety and community. Keep up the great work! #airport #healthandsafety #bestpractices

While you were constantly refreshing your browser this week, a proposition was passed in California that extends the California Consumer Privacy Rights Act (CCPA) that was passed in 2018. The law closes many loopholes that allowed companies such as Facebook, Google, and others to continue data sharing practices without requiring transparency in how they intend to use that data. In this day and age of instant gratification, especially with the emergence of GDPR regulations, many folks who are browsing websites have gotten accustomed to ‘opting-in’ to disclaimers in order to continue consuming the content they intended to read, watch or listen. For consumers, look for those disclaimers to become even more commonplace as regulations tighten in the US. For marketers, it will be important to keep an eye on the horizon and ear to the ground – where a door closes on legacy digital targeting, windows may open for opportunities like advanced AI and machine learning technology, especially as we shift toward a cookie-less world. https://bit.ly/3l7eVqC MEDIAPOST.COM Proposition 24 Spurs Ad Industry To Renew Calls For National Privacy Law
Twitter has shared insights into the rising discussion around the NFL, showing that it’s the #1 platform versus competitors for NFL playoff-related video views. Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) were first established in our country in the 19th century, providing undergrad and grad-level educational opportunities to diverse populations. Cheyney University, the first established HBCU, set a standard to teach African American students skills that would expand into further employment opportunities. And many universities throughout the country have followed suit since. At Fuseideas, we continue to strive for our HBCU clients to gain exposure, increase enrollment, and offer educational opportunities. Give this article a read to understand the in-depth history of HBCU origins: https://bddy.me/2Mmjmlk #blackhistorymonth #hbcu #highereducation
On the first day of #InternationalNetworkingWeek, the #FuseFamily is reflecting on the increased presence of digital trends in the past year. In the past, networking meant building relationships face-to-face, at conferences and events. Fuseideas, like many other businesses, has shifted all networking efforts to Zoom and LinkedIn. Our CEO, Dennis, attends bi-weekly meetings with our partners at Destinations International as a means of connecting with leaders in the travel and tourism space. How have you used technology to connect with others through the pandemic? #networking #digitaltrends #zoom #linkedin
Over the last 15 years, Fuseideas has built many web sites based on Microsoft's ASP.NET Web Forms, allowing us to create complex features on websites for both our clients and our agency. But in trend with the ever-changing landscape of the world, Microsoft has decided to end development and support of the nearly 20 year old Web Forms technology. Are you prepared to navigate this change? Check out our recently published blog to see how Fuseideas can help through this transition: http://bit.ly/3qVuUui #websitedevelopment #webdevelopment #microsoft #relentlesspursuit #successandglory
With the distribution of the COVID vaccine in full effect, Americans are feeling more optimistic about future travel than any other time during the pandemic. 'Pent up demand' has led to almost a quarter of people saying they will travel MORE than they previously had, and more than half will resume their pre-pandemic level of travel. Hard hit urban destinations are showing signs of visitation recovery, but rural areas will remain strong competitors. Travel’s outlook is looking brighter week by week, and we urge our travel and tourism clients to read this article for more details: https://bddy.me/36hPb5u #travelandtourism #destinationmarketing #travelperceptions #sumer2021
Potential great news to our higher education clients! While the past year has been exceptionally tough, President Biden has proposed a new stimulus which would send $35 billion in new aid to public higher education institutions, as well as public and private HBCUs and other Minority Serving Institutions. This new aid would ensure colleges have critical resources to implement public health protocols, execute distance learning plans, and provide emergency grants to students in need. Give the proposal a read to see how this may benefit your institution: https://bddy.me/3a37QmI #highereducation #highered #hbcu #covidrelief
