Georgio’s Bridal & Prom is looking to hire a manager for our alterations department. You will have your own desk for scheduling and a stage for your scheduled pinnings. You will lead and supervise all activities in the alterations department. As alteration manager, you will report to the store managers. There will be a 90-day probationary period, then a full-time position will be offered.
Duties include:
Take accurate measurements
Knowledge of garment construction (various fabrics)
Application techniques
Fitting a garment on customers to ensure proper fit
Sewing skills by machine and hand
People and customer service skills
Ability to answer phone calls daily for scheduling or any client questions
Ability to keep a consistent schedule to stay organized and guarantee garments will be finished in their time frame
Ability to be flexible to handle special requests, emergency alteration needs, or busy seasons.
Organizational abilities and ability to multitask
Ability to lift heavy dresses, bend down, reach with arms, or stand for long periods of time.
Order and maintain supplies necessary to operate
Work with the other seamstresses to ensure the quality of work and check in the dresses and accessories received by Georgio’s
Some computer skills will be needed but you will be fully trained on the company system.
