It is that time of year again when the stalkers reach out to people claiming that the are from the IRS and they are going to arrest you because you haven't paid your taxes. We've have had three clients notify us within the past 24 hours that they have received these calls. The IRS or NYS does not call you first. You will receive a mail notification that you have a tax issue first. Please DO NOT give any of your personal information out over the phone. If you have any question about these types of calls please contact the office. We will help with any replies if needed.

Here is a quick summary of the new PPP guidelines for phase two from the legislation that was passed on Dec 27th. Major limitations on the second draw are: less than 300 employees, all proceeds from first round have been spent on eligible expenses and a 25% decline in gross receipts in one comparable quarter in 2020 compared with 2019 - this test can also be done on an annual basis. The multiplier is still 2.5 times (3.5 times for NAICS 72) average monthly payroll (either 2019 or 2020 may be used)
