Now that face masks are part of our everyday wardrobe, you may notice your eyes getting a little dryer than usual. Here are some tips to keep that from happening:
- Wear a mask that fits snugly around your nose. This will ensure the moisture exits through the side of your mask and not above it.
- Try to blink more frequently.
- Ask us about lubricating eye drops.

While Dr. Fick is often recognized for the discovery of contact lenses in the 1800s, they were made from glass and quite uncomfortable. Fast forward to 1958 when Otto, a chemist, developed the first soft lens and granted all the details to Bausch and Lomb in 1960. And the rest... is history. #InventorsDay

You may be surprised to hear this-- and it is something to remember! If any chemical, like a household cleaning supply, gets into your eye, avoid general eye drops to help soothe. Instead, use lukewarm tap water or contact lens saline rinse, and don't hesitate to seek emergency medical assistance!
Carrots give you amazing eyesight, especially at night. Fact or Fiction? This idea was planted during WWII and it is true-- to a certain extent. While carrots are filled with vitamins and antioxidants to help you #maintain eyesight they do not actually #improve your vision or help you see in the dark. Eat them anyway!
