October is Breast Cancer Awareness month!
One of my former patients Elina, her mom, and all of her family went through many tough years of dealing with breast cancer when Elina was only one year old. This year Elina is turning 16 and her mom is 12 years cancer-free. Elina was asked how she wanted to modify her birthday plans for 2020 and requested a fundraiser for breast cancer research instead of a party.

Summit County Health Department and our volunteers at the Park City Film studio have been vaccinating hundreds of people per week against COVID. Now that the Biden administration has increased Utah's supply of vaccine, it is game time here in Summit County! Our public health team and volunteers now expect to bump up to vaccination of 900+ people per week. At this rate, we will finish vaccination of our Summit County elderly in late February-early March. We move on to adults 18 years and older with medical conditions at that point. Here is the link to get on the vaccination list.
