Gallery West was open this weekend to limited success. We will continue to open on Fridays and Saturdays at least through September with revised hours. On both days we will be open from noon to 5 PM. We are always available by appointment as we live just 5 minutes away from the gallery. I can be reached at 478-972-1598.

We have a revised website in the works which will be more extensive and include lots of new photographs of the Brothers show in NYC in March. It will be completed before the end of the year.

Here is a photograph of the Brothers that Kirk took in March at Madison Square Garden. What a great line-up with Jaimoe, Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Marc Quinones, Oteil Burbridge, Chuck Leavel, Duane Trucks and Reese Wynans.
Gallery West will be reopening for the month of September starting on Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12. We will be open from 3:00 until 9:00 on Friday and Noon until 6:00 on Saturday. If you missed the special Father's Day show of Kirk West's photographs from the 3/10/20 Madison Square Garden show by the Brothers, the photographs are still up at the gallery and will be available to purchase or to order. We will practice social distancing and allow 8 people to enter at a time. Masks will be required and we have them and hand sanitizer at the gallery.

I want to thank all of you that came out last weekend to see Kirk's photographs from the Brothers show at Madison Square Garden in March. It was a success and we sold some so it was a worthwhile venture. I have been agonizing about what to do next. There is an obvious surge in Covid-19 cases in the south so I am concerned about reopening. I have decided to be open today, June 27, from 11 to 5 so anyone who missed last weekend and wants to see the new photographs can stop by. We will be practicing social distancing and require masks and limit the number of people to ten. I have masks and hand sanitizer at the gallery.
Next Weekend is the 4th of July weekend and First Friday. We will be open on First Friday from 4 to 9 and Saturday from 11 to 5 and will maintain our Covid-19 requirements.
If anyone wants a private viewing, we live 5 minutes from the gallery and if you call I can open for you. Anyone with questions can call me at 478-972-1598. Please stay safe, stay in and wear a mask if you must go outdoors.

Allman Brothers Band... Memphis... so Kirsten & I watched the Bee Gees doc on HBO the other nite.. pretty interesting, especially the early years before Saturday Night Fever.... I shot em at the Stadium in Chicago maybe '81 or so... big production, great fotos..

Gallery West is hosting a First Friday Holiday Open House and book signing. Kirk West will be signing his two books, Les Brers - Kirk West's Journey with the Brothers and The Blues in Black & White. John Griffin will be signing his brand new book of poetry, Junkyard Love Letters.
