You might have noticed this magical plant shooting up in our greenhouse the last few weeks. This special plant is an Amorphophallus titanum (a.k.a. Corpse Flower) - the largest flowering plant on earth. We're so excited to see what this thing will do!
The iconic Weeping Willow is dramatic both in appearance and history. Few trees add as much grace to the landscape! It was the shade of a weeping willow that helped comfort Napoleon during his exile on the Island of St. Helena. After Napoleon was buried under his favorite tree, cuttings from it became a valued prize among his admirers worldwide 🍃

Nashville Zoo's Corpse Flower is blooming!
"Come see the corpse before it dies! An Amorphophallus titanum, more commonly known as a corpse flower is about to bloom in the Zoo's Aviary located inside the Unseen New World. The corpse flower is considered to be one of the largest flowers in the world. When in bloom, it emits an odor that is similar to rotting flesh giving it its common name.
