Additional Information:
• Blood centers are not testing or screening for COVID-19 directly, but do screen all donors to make sure they are healthy and eligible to donate.
• All donors are screened to ensure they are feeling well. Individuals should not donate blood if they are feeling unwell or have any symptoms of illness, including fever.
• Donors are also asked a series of additional questions that include whether they have traveled outside the country.
• Bloodworks follows appropriate infection control standards of donor rooms and mobile buses, which include sanitation of donor waiting rooms and donation chairs. We added additional cleaning precautions to those we regularly perform as an FDA-regulated blood collection facility. Our staff and volunteers follow strict hand washing protocol.
• We comply with FDA, CDC, and local health department recommendations related to COVID-19. All agencies have stated that the blood donation process is safe and continuously needed.
• There is no known risk of transmission of COVID-19 through the blood donation process or from blood transfusions.
• There is no intrinsic risk to the safety of the blood supply, but there is risk to the availability of blood for patients in need because of an increase in cancelled donation appointments and blood drives.
• Blood donation is not a mass gathering or social event. Individuals who are healthy and eligible to donate are strongly encouraged to do so in order to maintain an available blood supply.

Gateway Adult Residential Care, an affiliated group of three 24/7 residential care providers, seeks an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our corporate team. Gateway employs 375 at four facilities located in the Eugene-Springfield area. Our facilities provide care for adults struggling with Mental Health issues, Dementia and Alzheimer’s, Brain Injury, Challenging Behaviors, and Aging-related needs. Located in downtown Eugene, the Gateway corporate office houses the leadership team, all finance functions, payroll, and HR services.
Position Summary
Our Payroll Specialist is an essential part of our Corporate office and is responsible for collecting and reviewing employee information and working hours provided by our campus Administrators. The Payroll Specialist will calculate wages, prepare and process employee payments, and maintaining accurate payroll records while providing support to our employees and Administrators.
The Payroll Specialist will
•Maintain and conduct payroll and check
processing utilizing outside payroll
processing provider (Paycom)
o Perform daily payroll department
operations
o Manage workflow to ensure all
payroll transactions are
processed accurately and timely
o Reconcile payroll before
transmission and validate
confirmed reports
o Understand proper taxation and
benefits
o Process correct garnishment
calculations and compliance
o Process manual checks
• Provide guidance and administrator
understanding of timekeeping system
(iSolved)
• Provide regular, and ad hoc reports as appropriate to the management team and supervisors
•Coordinate payroll and change in the
status of employees with HR Manager
•Keep track of pay period, hourly wages,
salaries, overtime, PTO days of
employees and ensure the overall
balance is correct
•Maintain accurate records of payroll
documentation and transactions
•Respond to employee payroll-related i
Inquiries and resolve concerns
•Investigate and resolve other payroll
issues and ensure strict compliance with
company and regulatory rules and
standards
Minimum Qualification:
•High School Diploma or Equivalent
•Knowledge of the general ledger and
how it relates to Payroll accounting
•Knowledge of generally accepted
accounting principles
•3-5 Years of progressive experience
processing payroll
•Experience with outside payroll
processing
•Strong Knowledge of wage and tax laws
and payroll practices
•Experience working with accounting and
payroll software
•Strong computer literacy, including
Outlook, Excel, and Word
•Strong organization and time
management
•Excellent written and verbal
communication and interpersonal skills
•Able to work independently with
minimal supervision
•Reliable with a strong work ethic
•Maintain confidentiality
•Pass drug screen and a criminal
background check.
Ideal Candidate:
•Two-year degree in accounting,
business, or payroll related field
highly preferred.
•Certified Payroll Professional
•Experience processing payroll for a
multi-company organization with 300-
400 employees
•Experience with Paycom, iSolved,
SAGE, QuickBooks, Excel, Word
