A fitting tribute to our dear friend and late Medical Director, Dr. Neil Capretto, is the work that so many continue to dedicate themselves to in addiction treatment, especially at this difficult time in our Nation. This dedication reflects that of Neil's.
We recall him continuing to care for patients despite his personal health battle and the side effects of the intensive treatment he was receiving. He continues to be an inspiration to the Gateway Rehab organization and throughout the recovery community.
He touched the lives of thousands of individuals and their families, helping them to find the strength in themselves and clearing the path to restore their lives. While his service and selflessness will always be remembered, today on what would have been his 65th birthday… in all that we do… we do it in celebration of Neil!
We understand, given the challenges of this pandemic, that the idea of engaging in inpatient treatment now comes with new concerns. It is difficult to understand the presumed risks and how it can affect treatment. We want you to know that we are doing everything we can to minimize that risk for the protection of patients, staff and the community at large. We are implementing precautions, making appropriate accommodations, following CDC and PA Dept. of Health guidelines, and we are here to help! We may be distanced within our spaces, but we are still providing exceptional, individualized care.
