Silver Linings: "I’m really trying to think positive thoughts right now, during a time where it seems there is so much to be worried about. Then, I think about my dad. I can hear him saying, “Tam, things are never as bad as they seem”. In hindsight, when I think back to some those times, I can’t even recall what I was worried about!
I know if he was here with me now, he would still be saying the same thing. And he was right. Despite everything going on in the world today, we must look for the positive in each of our lives.
That’s my silver lining - recalling the age-old wisdom from my father and the knowledge there is still so much to be thankful for." -Tammy

Random Acts of Kindness: "Recently, I was reading the news online. I read about Hurricane Laura and the damage the storm gave to victims. A McDonald’s business owner gave away 10,000 free meals from a portable restaurant to help feed families in need of a hot meal. The meals consisted of a brown bag comprised of a McDonald’s cheeseburger, fries, and water. Many of the families in Louisiana are still without electricity and running water, despite the storm making landfall two weeks ago. This act of kindness benefited the entire community and helped take off some stress for struggling families" -Matthew
