It's October 1st! Do you know what that means?! Scott's birthday is today! Another year completed, another year wiser. Thank you for being such an awesome boss. We hope you have the best day ever!
It's starting to get colder, the leaves are changing which means there is no better time to go camping! Michele and her family went to William O'Brien's state park this past weekend to take it all in.
Even though it rained most of the time, it was fund to hang with family and explore the park.
What is your favorite state park?
GWG has a new team member! We would like everyone to meet Zach Bakke. Zach has been in the industry for 20+ years. He is determined, knowledgeable and loves to learn. Zach will be responsible for client communications, trading, meeting prep & special projects. He also serves on the GWG investment, taxes & estate planning committees.
Zach was born in Edina, Minnesota. He has been married to his wife, Jen for 23 years! He has 2 children: Parker (18) & Paige (16). His son is starting his first year at St. Thomas! They also have a golden doodle named Leo.
Outside of the office, Zach loves to hang out with his wife and kids exploring and enjoying new foods together. Zach dabbles in a few different hobbies such as: biking, boating, and working out. He normally likes to end his bike rides at a brewery or coffee shop. (That’s the best!)
Our two most important questions to Zach were; what is one thing on your bucket list and where would you like to live in retirement? He would like to visit Norway, “lots of Bakke’s there”. In retirement, “I hope to live wherever my kids settle but do plan on spending time in SW Florida as much as possible”.

GWG has some sad news... Our 10th Annual Women's VIP Event has to be cancelled for 2020, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
As bummed as we are to do this, the safety of our clients and attendees will always come first. 2020 has proven to be a tough year but we are all in this together and will come out even stronger in 2021!
Now that we have extra time to perfect our women's event, we would love to hear your feedback!

Jane has been on some amazing camping adventures this year! This summer, her daughter joined her for their first camping trip (other than attending Camp Tanadoona) in the Apostle Islands. What an experience!

Lou and Jim wanted to say hi from Mexico! Lou and Jim stuck to their plans for her retirement and traveled to Mexico. Enjoying the beautiful weather and eating dinner at their favorite restaurant Trio in Puerto Vallarta.
