We were on site today with our friends at Lynnhaven Marine & Dock- they were driving 14" x 75' concrete test piles for the Ohio Creek Watershed Project in Norfolk, VA. The piles were driven with a Pileco,Inc D8-22 diesel hammer and an American 7260 100-ton Crawler Crane, both provided by GeoQuip. The funding for the project came via a $112 million federal grant from the National Disaster Resilience Competition with the goal being to help mitigate flooding and provide better access to the surrounding waterways. #driveitdrillitpullit

On Friday afternoon, we were happy to be on site at the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel project in Hampton, Virginia to watch our Pileco,Inc. D180-32 diesel hammer drive down the first 54” concrete cylinder test pile. Hampton Roads Connector Partners (HRCP) is the prime contractor, and Seaward Marine Corporation is driving the piles. Last week we were on site with @crofton.1949 at a local project where they were driving some timber pile with one of our @hydraulic_power_systems Model 250 vibratory hammers. Over the course of this project, Crofton has also utilized an HPSI Model 380 vibratory hammer to drive some long sheeting and a Pileco D46 diesel hammer with a custom drive cap to drive 20” square concrete pile on a batter.
