All balloons, including those falsely marketed as “biodegradable latex,” return to Earth as ugly litter on the beaches, in the water, in our grasses and wetlands. They kill countless animals and cause dangerous power outages. Balloons are also a waste of Helium, a finite resource used for welding, medical applications, and other more important industrial purposes. Balloons can travel thousands of miles and pollute the most remote and pristine places. For these reasons, we are discontinuing them as of now. We have slowly been phasing them out, but now we are finally through with them. As a better substitute we have added Folkmanis premium puppet plush toys! Those will be listed under “Plush” on our website by the end of the day today! You may have seen us on the news Thursday! Well, today George caught a wild Mustang grill, leftover in our creek from the big chase and subsequent crash! If you're unfamiliar, most of Thursday morning was eventful here at the shop. A man tried evading the law in his brand new Mustang and took the corner (at our shop) too hard and hit the ramp to our parking lot. That sent him into the air and crashed, wedging his car into the creek behind our greenhouse! He escaped briefly and was found by state troopers in a dumpster behind The Ramada motel. What an eventful day we had!
