I named this restaurant after my father, George Gounaikis, who has owned and operated a couple of pizza places. He started making pizzas in 1967. George has taught my brother Jim and I all about operating restaurants. Our family worked together in the restaurant business; I started working with my dad at age 11. My wife Patti and I have worked together for over 20 years in this line of work. Yeah, we've had a few arguments over the years. People have wondered how we can work and live together. I'm proud to have named this establishment after the man who taught me what I know today, my father George F. Gounaikis.
Now, it's going to be an honor to serve the town of Northfield once again, hopefully for many years to come.
