Did last night’s weather make the roads unsafe? Run your reports from your home office while not putting your life at risk. It’s no secret that employees who have the option to work from anywhere are happier employees who often stay at their company longer. https://bit.ly/2RCjM63

Let’s face it, you can have a beautiful corner office — but it’s still an office. Very few normal human beings enjoy being stuck in an office let alone commuting to one everyday. Thankfully, it seems that physical offices are becoming sparser these days for a wide variety of reasons. Find out more: https://bit.ly/2RCjM63
Many of you reading this might have been skeptical about the idea of a mobile office. Back in the 1980s, mobile working meant having a giant word processor, dot matrix printer and wired car phone. Compared to what we have available today, that seems more like a nightmare than progress. Today, you may be concerned about how you can effectively manage your employees in a remote environment. https://bit.ly/2RCjM63

The greatest advantage for hackers is they have become more sophisticated and educated overtime, and the good guys haven’t been able to keep up. If you’re relying on internal IT or an MSP without security expertise, your team is most likely behind on the threats and not implementing everything they need to keep your staff safe. While 2020 quickly changed our idea of what a normal office is, it’s really been a long time coming. Companies have been migrating to similar solutions for almost a decade with varying degrees of success. However, with current technology and infrastructure, it’s never been easier to implement a virtual office solution like this. Learn more: https://bit.ly/33aIgd6
Monday was Slack and Today is Microsoft. As redundant as Cloud is marketed, there are layers to these services that cannot be hot swapped or shifted to another datacenter. How do you scale DR plans when millions of users are utilizing your services? Transparency is key.

If the idea of supplying your employees with company-owned devices or the setup and maintenance of a virtual office seems overwhelming, don’t worry! Even many large corporations find this to be too difficult or time-consuming to do on their own. In fact, a recent study showed that more than half of all of the companies surveyed use external services to help with their IT needs, and that number goes up significantly with a larger percentage of their workforce working remotely. Everyone wants digital security, but just like with anti-virus software, a single program will never keep you fully safe. Many users don’t understand the natural limitations of VPNs, putting too much faith in them, particularly free versions. For starters, no matter what the ads tell you, VPNs do not give you 100% security on the web. Learn more about VPN security: https://bit.ly/37xe2DP

Happy Thanksgiving! Today is the day for being around loved ones and to take a moment to appreciate the small things typically taken for granted. This year has tested all, and some need more than others. Find the time to give to those not expecting. #thanksgiving2020
Cyber security fact of the day: In 2016, 95% of all breached records came from just three industries: government, retail, and technology. What do all of these industries have in common you might ask? They’re all popular targets because of the amount of high level personal identifying data they have within their records. Hackers prey on companies that have access to vast amounts of personal data, and they are highly successful because many businesses do not implement proper cyber security measures. To combat the massive threat of data breaches, we need to put an emphasis on safe security practices. How secure is your office? Contact us to find out.
October 28, 2020 CISA, the US Cyber Agency, sent out an advisory that they have credible information of an increased Cybercrime threat to US Hospitals and Healthcare providers. These attacks are targeting users to gain access to encrypt data for financial gain. Read more and share https://us-cert.cisa.gov/ncas/alerts/aa20-302a

Imagine you were told to carry a device that recorded everything you did and with whom on the internet. Would you obey? Facebook owns WhatsApp and its platform for messaging. Outside of business, we should realize what we are willingly giving to outside agencies in regards to our privacy. We are living in a glass bowl as long as we allow free software on our phones to run free. Check your privacy settings on these apps and think if you were to live in a home with all windows, who would you mind passing by peaking in. I appreciate Leaders like Elon Musk to bring forward apps like Signal that do not harvest information on its users and sell the data to companies that we do not know of. I feel that as long as we continue to allow our data to flow into these systems, we are slowly changing our thought process with suggested selling verse what we hunger for. If every day I walk past a pizza parlor what is the chance I will buy a slice? Does that make me a pizza junkie or is that because it was in my line of sight every day.

Happy New Year 2021 This new year for some is a fresh start and for others may seem like just a number. 2020 tested my company and family in so many ways We all learned how to cope while working in one of the most unknown times. Now we know what works and how to adapt. Paranoia and conspiracy will eventually fade. It will take time adjusting to trusting people and not be upset because of a mask or lack of. Pay it forward and lead by the way you would want to be treated. #2021 #pma #giaspace #payitforward #startstoday
