AROUND THE OFFICE 👨⚖️: Why does Roxanne have this Newton's Cradle out? Because she is a huge science nerd and most automobile collisions demonstrate Newton's Laws of Motion! Energy is transferred from the vehicle, to whatever it collides with, whether that be a wall, a tree, or another car. We know from science class that the force = mass x acceleration equation is brought in to play when we inspect the damages to a vehicle/person! Kinetic energy that is exerted in an accident and does not visibly show damage to the vehicle or persons can present itself in the form of sound as well, that's why crashes can be so loud! This same reasoning is why we may have clients that were in a "low impact" accident but still have residual injuries! 🧐
We love the pop of color our roses add here at the new location on Lewis Lane! 🥰
Good Morning Gill Law Firm Family! May you all have a BLESSED Wednesday! Prayer provided to us this morning by Joyce Meyer Ministries , video by Gill Law Firm. 🌅🙏

ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY:
On October 1, 1908, the FIRST Model T Ford was produced in Detroit, Michigan. Before the Model T, cars were viewed only as a luxury item, they were extremely expensive, and only around 200,000 cars were on the road in the U.S. before the Model T was produced. The Model T had a four-cylinder 22 horsepower engine and could go as fast as 40 mph. By 1914, the creation of the moving assembly line made it possible for Ford to produce thousands of cars a week, with the plant in Dearborn, Michigan building more than 10,000 Model T cars per day by 1924. As time went on, Americans wanted more style and speed in a vehicle, leaving the last Model T produced to roll off of the assembly line in May, 1927. Ford created the first “daily driver” that working class Americans could purchase and use for just that. Today, we look back on this invention with gratitude and awe! 🚙🚦
ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY:💰
On October 29, 1929 our country faced what has now been labeled as “Black Tuesday”. No, this was nothing like the fun of shopping malls we get now for Black Friday! On October 29, the New York Stock Exchange saw the largest number of trades in stocks occur in a day in history. On Black Tuesday alone, 16,410,030 shares were traded by investors. This was the beginning of the spiral that began the Great Depression. By 1932, stocks were only worth about 20% of the value they had in the summer of 1929. Do you have any stories from older family members regarding life during the Great Depression? Please share in the comments below! 🖤

Just got an automated call that stated they were with the Social Security Administration and that my SSN had been used as part of a criminal case in Texas. If I wanted more information I should press one. This recording was extremely convincing.
Just a friendly reminder to all to be careful about such scam activity.

ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY🎤🎧:
On October 19, 1985, a-Ha’s hit song “Take on Me” reached #1 on the Billboard pop chart. The Take on Me music video was a groundbreaking moment in music history because of the use of Rotoscoping. For many Americans, this was the first time we saw animation being used directly over film. We would not see this medium take on as much popularity in the states as it did for a-Ha’s music video, until the 1988 release of “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?” Take a minute today to watch the below video and remember a time when this was considered groundbreaking! Who else would you like to see in a music video produced using Rotoscoping?

Happy Veteran's Day Gill Law Firm Family: As a Veteran Owned Business, we are grateful for those who have served our country and are still presently serving. Doug Gill is a retired member of the Navy and National Guard, and instills these values in his children and his grandbaby, Mason! Roxanne is the grandchild/great grandchild of more than one veteran. She is also the daughter of a woman who is former National Guard, and works daily at the VA Hospital in Marion. Today and everyday we are grateful for veteran's and their service to our country. ❤️🇺🇸
“God, please let every veteran of our nation’s armed forces feel truly and appropriately honored by the attention and appreciation of their fellow citizens. Let no one feel forgotten or neglected. Let every man and woman, young or old, feel the deep and enduring gratitude of our nation and its inhabitants.” 🙏
As it gets colder and we are all getting accustomed to our first winter mid-pandemic, we hope that everyone in the Gill Law Firm family is finding joy in these days spent with family. We are HUGE fans of Buddy the Elf, and are holding his enthusiasm for the #HolidaySeason close to our hearts this year! ❤️🐕
ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY 🎇: On November 30, 1954 in Sylacauga, Alabama a woman named Elizabeth Hodges was resting on her couch when a meteorite CRASHED through the roof of her home! The meteorite itself was 7 inches in length and weighed roughly 8.5 pounds. This meteorite colliding with Ms. Hodges was the first modern record of this type of injury, imagine explaining that one to your homeowner's insurance! 😅😂

"We thank Thee for food and remember the hungry. We thank Thee for health and remember the sick. We thank Thee for friends and remember the friendless. We thank Thee for freedom and remember the enslaved. May these remembrances stir us to service. That Thy gifts to us may be used for others. Amen."
ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY❄️💨: On November 25, 1950, our nation faced one of the largest snow storms of this century, known as the "Appalachian Storm". This storm greatly affected the eastern region of the U.S., causing damage across 22 states and killing 353 Americans. Up until that date, insurance companies of the 1950's had never paid out as much as they did on homes and vehicles following the storm. Winds were reaching speeds of up to 160mph, with sand being pushed off of the beach and railroad tracks being pulled right out of the ground! There is so much to learn about this event, if you are interested in finding out more, check out this link!
