About Carleus (CJ) Johnson
Whether making sales or making music, communicating has been important to Carleus Johnson his entire life. He attended Bethune Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida, as a member of the university’s marching band and received his bachelor’s degree in mass communications in 2007. Music continues to be a vital part of his life today. “I love to sing,” says Carleus. “In my free time, I hang out with my two kids, go to church, write songs, and love to cook.”
“The opportunity to make money” enticed Carleus to join Globe Life Liberty National Division Life Insurance Company. “What’s been most rewarding,” adds Carleus,” is my ability to transfer my skill set and knowledge to new Agents. Before assuming my current position, I was the first Regional Agency Director with the Wilson Agency, where I promoted more than 12 Supervising Agents and three Agency Directors. I’ve been doing sales since I was 16,” says Carleus, “and pursued entrepreneurial endeavors before joining the Torchmark family of companies in 2008.” Selling for LNL was just a natural fit for Carleus.
Carleus appreciates the value of Globe Life Liberty National Division products for both Agents and customers. “Our Agency offers Agents the potential for individuals to eliminate financial burdens and provide financial stability for their families,” he emphasizes. “Our products provide financial relief to individuals and families in the most difficult times of their life,” he adds. “It’s because of the products we provide that families don’t have to sacrifice their quality of life when ‘life happens’.”
In addition, the C.J. Johnson Agency partners with several ministries and organizations in the community. It helps expand each organization’s reach and ability to meet the needs of the community with food, shelter, and clothing. “I’m a member of Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church,” says Carleus, “and our ministry does a lot. We feed and clothe those in need, visit nursing homes, and participate in various community events.”
“If I could start over with the Company,” says Carleus, “I would embrace the process/system immediately and be more focused and disciplined. As a result, I encourage those of you considering a Globe Life Liberty National Division career to embrace it. Come aboard! Don’t seek advice from those who have never experienced the level of success we offer. Discard every other option. Do one hundred percent of what you've been trained one hundred percent of the time.”
