Here’s a recent example: For the past few months, our team has worked to provide strategic communication services to better position the Invest In Her Foundation, a nonprofit whose mission is to create a female friendly future. This week, Invest in Her Foundation surprised our team with a generous offer to make a gift to a nonprofit organization in the amount of $5,000 in O’Connor Connective’s name. We were honored. In fact, support of and connection to our community is why we do what we do. Here’s a recent example: For the past few months, our team has worked to provide strategic communication services to better position the Invest In Her Foundation, a nonprofit whose mission is to create a female friendly future. This week, Invest in Her Foundation surprised our team with a generous offer to make a gift to a nonprofit organization in the amount of $5,000 in O’Connor Connective’s name. We were honored. We chose to split the gift between two nonprofits that align with the Invest in Her Foundation mission and with our company value to connect the dots. Our selections are Harbor House Domestic Abuse Programs in Appleton and Golden House in Green Bay—the latter of which is also a valued client of ours. Thanks to this gesture, our team will end 2020 living our purpose. We look forward to making more meaningful connections like this in 2021.

Today is National Human Trafficking Awareness day. Often times human trafficking victims are also victims of domestic abuse. This horrific injustice can affect people of any ethnicity or background, and on this day we are all called to fight human trafficking wherever it exists.

Golden House is proud to partner with the local law enforcement who work hand in hand with us to help victims of domestic abuse find shelter and safety.

Today is Martin Luther King Jr day. He worked tirelessly to make change in our country. We hope that everyone can take some time to read about MLK today, learn a new fact, or find a way to make a difference. #MLKday

The One Love Foundation and the NCAA Student-Athlete Engagement Committee challenged every college athletic program in the country to organize at least one One Love workshop to empower student-athletes to recognize the warning signs of abuse and teach them to build healthier relationships. As of December 31, 2020, 170 schools reached 34,743 students. Golden House's prevention team is proud to partner with UWGB and One Love to offer relationship health education. The NO MORE Foundation is dedicated to ending domestic violence and sexual assault by increasing awareness, inspiring action, and fueling culture change. NO MORE’s eighth annual NO MORE Week is March 7-13, 2021. Their goal is to inspire everyone to make change to help create a culture of safety, equality, and respect in our communities.
