Mums and pumpkins
Fall mums have arrived. We have them in 4", 8", and 12". Some of rhe 12" have hangers so they can replace those spring hanging baskets. Celosia, ornamental peppers, kale, and rudbeckia look great. Be sure to check out the Fall Combo Planters.

Bagworms . . . again. Handpicking bagworms is easy in the fall and winter because they are more visible. Removing bagworms by hand can be effective to manage them and prevent damage to your plants. More serious infestations can be treated in early summer with Bacillus thuringiensis kurstaki (B.t.k). For more information see https://buff.ly/3joOUS9.

Crabgrass is often thought of as a spring-emerging weed, but with enough moisture from recent rains, crabgrass can germinate any time in the growing season, challenging homeowners.

Pruning your hydrangeas will guarantee a fuller, healthier plant and will maintain the size in the landscape. The trick is knowing WHEN to prune. It is better not to prune than prune at the wrong time! And now is the wrong time. For information on when to prune, see https://buff.ly/31B80xr and https://buff.ly/3fEJiB2.
