A few weeks ago, we shared a video about a special patient, Anna Thomas, who recovered from COVID-19 at the age of 99! This past weekend, Mrs. Thomas celebrated her 100th birthday. Feel free to leave her some birthday wishes in the comments! 💯 🎂
This week's Provider Spotlight is Dr. Patti May. Dr. May is board certified in Family Medicine and was one of the first doctors hired to work at Grace Clinic. After serving 12 years in the U.S. Air Force as a Russian cryptologic linguist, Dr. May earned her undergraduate degree in biology and a degree in Medical Technology. Dr. May later earned an MBA in Health Organization Management at Texas Tech. She was working in the ER at the hospital in Lamesa, where she was inspired to go to medical school. She graduated with her medical degree in 2003. #FaceOfGrace #ProviderSpotlight

As of Thursday, October 15, 2020, Dr. Beals will be closing her practice at Grace Clinic. She and her husband will be relocating to another state. Patient records will remain at Grace Clinic and our team will work diligently to assist her patients during this time of transition. We thank Dr. Beals for her many years of service and wish her all the best!
This week's Provider Spotlight is Dr. Christopher Collins. Dr. Collins is a Board Certified Family Practice Physician. He completed a tour of duty with the United States Marine Corps Band before attending Texas Tech University. Dr. Patterson attended medical school at Texas A&M University in Temple and completed her residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Grace caregivers have been taking a journey around the world the past couple of weeks to celebrate different cultures as part of being #strongertogether. We ended the trip with the first ever Grace Oktoberfest and celebrating Grace Clinic winning this year’s Battle of Grace.
Although our “celebration” was far from normal, it was fun to show a little love to our amazing #facesofgrace!
This week's Provider Spotlight is Dr. David Hagstrom. Dr. Hagstrom received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma and went on to complete his residency in Pediatrics as Chief Resident at University Medical Center in 1987, and his residency in Anesthesiology at UMC in 1991. He also completed a fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at Texas Tech under the supervision of Dr. Gabor Racz. Dr. Hagstrom has been practicing Interventional Pain Medicine in Lubbock for almost 30 years. #FaceOfGrace #ProviderSpotlight

I am humbled and honored to be named the 2020 Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Presidential Distinguished Alumni. My time as a student here marked the turning point in my life, and for that I will always be grateful.
Thank you to President Rice-Spearman, the staff and faculty at the School of Health Professions, and the TTUHSC Alumni Association. Proud to be part of our Red Raider family.
