When white belts win I get the most excited, because you know it is just the beginning of a long, rewarding journey in Jiu Jitsu. Today our heavy weights took home gold and bronze medals, both competing for the first time.
Just finished the morning at Grappling Games and all of our kids came home with medals. Up next the adults!

Wednesday night kids classes include Brazilian jiu jitsu and kickboxing. Training our kids to never be victims to bullies!
Little Champions last night in training room #2, drilling for speed and reaction time. Meanwhile our youngest Tiny Champions were working self defense techniques in training room #1. 50+ kids on the mats with 3 black belts leading classes. Our academy strives to set the highest level of training available in our area!
After you stand on stage in front of an audience and fight a complete stranger, you rarely find a situation in the “real world” that can shake you. Congratulations to every one of our teens that competed this past weekend, may you conquer life with the same enthusiasm you showed on stage.
We are open today but conducting limited classes. Open mats for kids and adult jiu jitsu. No cardio or stand up classes but gym is open for heavy bag work, etc.
Be cautious in choosing to come work out and mindful of dangerous road conditions.
With many roads closed and icy we chose to close Tuesday to keep staff and students safe. Tomorrow we will return to our normal schedule.

We finished last week with a little parent and child training, then continued this week strong working our fundamentals training with 52 kids on the mats.
