Be Vigilant and Skeptical. Never open a link or attachment from unknown Source
Double check the email address.
Remember - IRS or Colorado will not contact you by phone or email.
Do not click hyperlinks in suspicious emails. When in doubt go directly to the sources web page.
Keep your anti virus and malware up to date
Use strong passwords and change them frequently.
Use multi-factor authentication if offered. Even if it seems complicated or a nuisance. Recovering from identity theft is more complicated.
