The history began nearly a century ago in Segundo’s natal city of Colon, Provence of Matanzas, Cuba, where his parents established their first bakery business in the new world after arriving from Europe. The entrepreneurial spirit living in Mr. Pla Sr., and the knowledge acquired in his family owned bakery business in Cuba was the motivator that inspired him to jump into a new bakery business venture in Miami named Gran Paris Bakery which became a success from day one due to Mr. Pla’s family commitment to work hard every day to continue serving the growing Cuban community in South Florida.
