About the Practice
Ernest S. Levi, DPM, treats patients from throughout New York City at his private practice, Grand Central Podiatry, located in the Midtown East neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. Dr. Levi treats all foot problems ranging from bunions and hammertoes to plantar fasciitis and Morton’s neuroma. 
Dr. Levi especially enjoys evaluating heel pain, foot mechanics and structure, and relieving patients of their foot, ankle, and heel pain with the least invasive options. That being the case, Dr. Levi also is highly qualified and skilled in treatment of bunions, hammertoes, and heel pain with the most advanced surgical techniques available today.
Dr. Levi graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. He completed his post-graduate training in Chicago, including an externship in surgery and surgical procedures at Ireland Army Hospital in Fort Knox, Kentucky. Dr. Levi has lectured on podiatric conditions and been featured in various publications, including the Wall Street Journal. 
Dr. Levi is committed to listening to his patients and working hard to earn and retain their trust by exceeding expectations and striving to make his patients pain-free. #AskDrLevi: Plantar fasciitis is a common ailment that causes many patients pain, particularly in the morning. When it comes to relieving this pain, the best thing to do is to support the arch. To do so, we'll give a patient a support wrap which keeps the foot's ligaments from contracting. A night splint can also help relieve this at night by keeping the foot stretched; when you step out of bed in the morning, morning pain will gradually be reduced. The main key to reducing pain from plantar fasciitis is patience, and sticking to whatever pain resolution method you and your podiatrist chooses.
