Did you know 5 acres of land at Grand Living Indian Creek was a drive-in movie theater years ago? That fact inspired the team to host a “drive-in” movie in the courtyard after the sun went down!
⭐ A #FirstClassHappiness moment at Grand Living at Citrus Hills: The resident card making group produces a beautiful selection of cards that are available for sale at the gift shop. They presented a $350.00 check from the sales of the cards to Citrus County Blessings which provides food for school age children on the weekends.
⭐ A #FirstClassHappiness moment at Grand Living at Lake Lorraine: Did you know that Grand Living at Lake Lorraine has a 33-acre lake mere steps from the front door? That feature alone is a major creator of First Class Happiness for the residents with the water view, visiting birds and walking paths. Our talented anglers at Grand Living at Lake Lorraine agree that fishing is the perfect pastime that allows safe social distancing, and many fish stories.
⭐ A #FirstClassHappiness moment at Grand Living at Tamaya: By utilizing many beautiful common areas, residents celebrated Grand Living at Tamaya’s One-Year Anniversary with an "In-House Road Trip." The culinary team presented a beautiful Hawaiian spread on the pool deck and delicious Coney Island experience in the Bistro. Residents also tried their luck in the Forum Theater, Las Vegas style, plus an assortment of desserts to top off dinner.

What is a better way to celebrate receiving our second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine than with local food and a sip and paint? The pandemic has been tough for everyone, especially local businesses so we chose restaurants that are known to the Iowa City area and held our own "Taste of Iowa City" event. Our Facets team did a great job at coordinating all of the vendors and setting up our Forum Theater so residents could smoothly walk through and choose their food, dessert, and drink.
Alicia, one of out Facets assistants is gifted with art and music abilities, so she taught a step-by-step sip and paint class that residents truly enjoyed!

There is always something to celebrate! On Monday we celebrated Stella's 90th birthday in our Luminations neighborhood complete with decorations, dessert, a photo booth, and trivia all about Stella.
We love being able to celebrate these special milestones with our residents.

These past few weeks at Bridgewater have been very exciting! To start, we had a walk-by chocolate fountain where residents could choose their favorite treat and coat them in warm chocolate. Along with a giant kerplunk game, made by two Bridgewater residents in our woodworking shop, our amazing fitness Director, Shawna Klein and fitness intern, Sydney, transported us to sunny Hawaii and put on a great Luau with bowling, golf, and tropical snacks and drinks for all to enjoy.
We would also like to welcome our University of Iowa interns! Hannah, Josie, Gianna, and Sydney will be joining our community to be a part of our Facets, Luminations, and Fitness departments.
It's the most wonderful time of the year!!

What a fun filled week we have been having at Bridgewater! The Holidays are something that everyone looks forward to, so we wanted to make it a week long celebration. There was a photo booth set up for residents to enjoy, a 1950's themed trivia night, an opportunity for residents to have a gift exchange with homemade gifts, all following up to Santa making a special stop!
