Sending love to Dennis and his family at the Phoenix Police Department. You are all in our thoughts.
Critical Incident Briefing: The Phoenix Police Department is investigating an officer-involved shooting overnight north of Dunlap in an apartment complex on 19th Ave.
Officers responded to calls of shots fired. When they arrived, they found a man dead. During their search for the homicide suspect, they were directed to an apartment.
As they entered the apartment an armed man fired, hitting a police K9.
As officers retreated from the apartment, the man came out armed and that’s when the officer-involved shooting happened.
The suspect was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The K9 “Dennis” was rushed to a veterinary medical facility where he is expected to make a full recovery and return to duty. The 6-year-old Belgian Malinois is being credited with saving the lives of officers in this case.
No other officers or community members were injured in this incident.

🐾 A pair of pantyhose may look good on your legs, but it has an entirely different look when your pet passes it and thankfully this pet did!
Keep an eye 👁 on your fur baby throughout the year, but especially during the holidays 🎄 to make sure he’s not eating something that he shouldn’t be.
We’ve seen it all go in and come out (one way or another). What’s the strangest thing your pet has ever eaten?
Losing a beloved pet is heartbreaking. When added to the holidays, which can already be a particularly difficult time for so many, it may seem unbearable. Please know we grieve alongside you. Our staff understands your sorrow and we are here for you when you need us. 💔

Moonie is one lucky guy. Paula adopted him about 6 months ago after he had been removed from a cat hoarder situation. She was recovering from the loss of her beloved kitty and visited a rescue group with the intention of coming home with 2 sister kitties. When she got to the rescue she was told that one of the sisters had already been adopted. Paula was heartbroken. An employee heard her disappointment and spoke up about this gorgeous cat who had just become available. Paula took one look at Moonie and 😍~the rest is history.
For those of you wondering about the sister cat who was left behind; she wasn’t left behind for long. Paula took Mistie (a 15 year old domestic longhair, who is not pictured), home with her too.
Everybody wins with adoption.
**As an added bonus, Moonie is a “rare” breed. Can anyone guess what it is? We will add another photo of him in the comments. C’mon cat lovers, you’ll know this one.

Happy Monday!! We took in 20 puppies from one of our Rural Rescue Partners this weekend. In rural areas, it's less common for pets to be spayed or neutered, so it's easy to be overrun with tiny balls of fluff. Many of our Rural Rescue Partners don't have very much space or access to veterinary care, so we help out when we can. Here are just a few of the cuties that will be coming available for adoption at our Chandler location this weekend (they aren't quite available yet, as they are still going through our intake process).
