ShoreStation April 3 at 10:00 AM · Our parent company, Midwest Industries, is working to increase the production of sewn face masks to support the growing fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Midwest Industries plans to make more than 500 sewn masks with 150 being sewn the first day. We have reworked our sewing room where we usually sew our ShoreStation Boat Lift Canopies to now sew masks. We are using our cutting table to automatically cut the fabric. We will be donating them to keep our local medical staff & responders safe. Check out Midwest Industries, Inc.'s Facebook live for the process. We will continue to explore ways to help in this time of crisis.

The Laborer - Landscaping/Lawn Care position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks in order to assist with the landscaping of and maintenance of customer lawns. Performs general landscape maintenance on residential or commercial grounds. Responsibilities include clearing leaves and snow, cutting grass, trimming hedges, and other general maintenance work. As a lawn mower, one may be in charge of maintaining the grounds of several locations, rotating between them over the course of a week or month. Operates outdoor power equipment, such as weed whackers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers. Responsibilities: ∙ Maintain condition of lawn, by mowing when necessary. ∙ Maintain lawncare equipment, and perform general repairs if possible. ∙ Operate various tools, both mechanical and manual. ∙ Plant new flowers, trees, etc. during the appropriate seasons, and maintain their look and condition. ∙ Keep accurate logs of each day's work. Requirements: ∙ Follow instructions ∙ Perform work quickly and efficiently, demanding excellence in quality of work ∙ Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks ∙ Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, heavy equipment, and materials ∙ Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift ∙ Ability to work in a fast paced environment Work Conditions: ∙ Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis ∙ Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold ∙ Flexible working hours including occasional weekend work ∙ Work on difficult shoreline access, steep embankments *Peak dock service is during spring and early fall. The Laborer - Dock and Hoist is responsible for performing a variety of tasks in order to assist with the installation/removal of docks and boat lifts, and assorted service of marine related products. Performs construction of dock and hoist on job site per blueprint specifications and per direction of Foreman and/or Supervisor. Operates equipment and machinery in a knowledgeable, safe, and effective manner. Follows and applies safety rules and techniques. Reports any problems with construction duties to the supervisor. Uses hardware, such as bolts, washers, rods, lumber, and necessary hand tools. Performs other duties as assigned. Responsibilities: ∙ Work safely and in a responsible manner, with eager participation and initiative. ∙ Demonstrate continuous growth through personal goal achievement. ∙ Demonstrate active participation in regular team meetings ∙ Comply with all company policies and regulations and local health and safety regulations ∙ Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times ∙ Communicate to customer in polite and courteous manner ∙ Maintain standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, jobsites, and shop/yard areas Requirements: ∙ Follow instructions ∙ Perform work quickly and efficiently, demanding excellence in quality of work ∙ Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks ∙ Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, heavy equipment, and materials ∙ Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift ∙ Ability to work in a fast paced environment Work Conditions: ∙ Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis ∙ Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold ∙ Flexible working hours including occasional weekend work ∙ Work on difficult shoreline access, steep embankments ∙ Work in water in a variety of conditions, including waves, wind, cold and deep water, and potential ice ∙ Work occasionally from boat, barge, or other marine equipment. *Peak dock service is during spring and early fall.
