Great Falls Auto Repair is owned and operated by James and Heather Gowers right here in Great Falls, MT.
They purchased the then Fleet Maintenance Service in April of 2011. Since 2011 they have grown so much that they rented the three-bay shop across the street for the automotive customers that were looking for quality automotive repair. This is where Great Falls Auto Repair was born.
James is an ASE master certified automotive and diesel truck, technician. He is very passionate about being a mechanic. He has worked on vehicles as long as he can remember. Out of high school, he went to Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix, AZ. After college, James did his apprenticeship at Cummins NW in Coburg, OR.
Once his apprenticeship was completed, he moved back to Montana where he drove long haul with his dad, Jim Gowers. After that, James decided to get back to doing what he loves, which is fixing vehicles!
In 2003 James got factory trained by Volkswagen and went to work for Pierce in Great Falls. James loved working on VW, but he was wanting to work on the big rigs. So, he went to work for TTT Repair before making the move to Fleet Maintenance Service.
James’ life was changed in 2008 when he went to work for Fleet Maintenance Service. He managed the business for Glen Vannatta for three years and doubled the business before he and Heather decided to dive into ownership.
James and Heather love the outdoors and going to national parks. Heather was born and raised in Virginia, just outside of Washington, DC. She and James met here in Great Falls in 2005. James convinced Heather to move to beautiful Montana. They can be found hunting, fishing, camping, taking pictures, snowshoeing, and serving the community!
