Group Therapy Preferences
I am proud to announce that I joined the Great Life Counseling Center team as one of their postdoctoral fellows. I would like to take some time to give a brief introduction to myself. I am Dr. Roger Giovino, Psy.D. I graduated from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I did my internship at Broward Sheriff’s Office providing psychological interventions and assessments to inmates suffering from persistent mental health concerns. I also have experiencing working with children, adolescents, and adults who have been exposed to trauma and who experience PTSD and dissociation. I approach therapy though a trauma-informed lens and offer an integrative approach to therapy. I believe that therapy should be supportive and tailored to each individuals’ unique life circumstances, concerns, values, and identity. Moreover, I strive to provide a safe, collaborative, non-judgmental, and warm environment that allows clients the comfort of moving at a pace that is most beneficial for them. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I specialize in working clients who have experienced histories of prolonged childhood abuse as well as client who have experienced sexual assault.
I am thankful for the opportunity that Great Life Counseling Center offered me, and I am excited to be part of a team that is committed to fostering healthy relationships both within and between the people we work with. I look forward to working with all the wonderful therapists at Great Life Counseling Center.
