Dr. Martin L. Gelman is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology with offices in Milford, Malden and Brighton, Massachusetts. He brings more than 40 years of experience and caring to Greater Boston Medical Associates offering the best treatment for all types of diseases of the kidney as well as hypertension and complications associated with these conditions. Dr. Gelman treats common problems of obesity, diabetes, and medical complications as they relate to cardiovascular disease. He also offers vaccines and immunizations and will provide in-depth care to general internal medicine problems.
Dr. Gelman studied at Indiana University Medical School and Columbia University Medical School. He went on to an internship at the University of Southern California and procured a fellowship with Massachusetts General Hospital. His professional associations and licenses include the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, American Society of Nephrology, International Society of Nephrology, Mass Medical Association, and he is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He is also a US News and World Report Top Doctor for the last seven years. Dr. Gelman was awarded a grant from the pharmaceutical industry to study causes, effects, and treatment of proteinuria.
