We can't think of a better way to celebrate Veteran's Day than to help a veteran! 🇺🇸 And, this is exactly what several of our members have done for H.R. “Bill” Williams, a 92-year-old Navy veteran, retired civil servant and great, great-grandfather.
We partnered with Cowtown Warriors to remodel this hero's bathroom, including making it wheelchair accessible, replacing bathtub with walk-in shower, and installing new electrical fixtures and updating paint.
The project was led by GFWBA board member Jake Montgomery of
Silverado Construction Services Inc., who worked with BMC Building Supply, Expressions Home Gallery, Lee Lighting, Kelly-Moore Paints, Rick's Hardware & Decorative Plumbing, Ferguson Plumbing Supply, Flooring Inspirations and Village Cupboards; non-GFWBA members Teague Glass & Mirror and Click's Construction Services LLC also contributed to the project. 👏

The fact our industry has been deemed essential and open for business is not luck or happenstance. It is a direct result of the Herculean efforts the Texas Association of Builders have made on our behalf.
TAB reduced its budget by $300,000, but without the Sunbelt Show, membership fluctuations and limitations on in-person meetings, TAB has a $250,000 budget deficit.
TAB is essential in protecting our industry and our ability to provide for our families. If TAB is not able to cover this deficit, there is a real threat of losing staff members, which will erode its ability to serve us.
GFWBA is joining other builder associations throughout the state to help cover this deficit. I'm asking EVERY MEMBER to step up BIG for TAB and protect our economic security:
