Meet the cats of the Greiner family, Maggie May (aka Fatty Kitty) and Khal Drogo (aka Baby Kitty)!
Fatty Kitty was attacked by a dog at 3 months of age and suffered a fractured left humerus that required surgical repair. Unable to afford surgery, her former owners surrendered her to the clinic where Dr. Greiner worked, and Dr. Greiner adopted her. Now 9 years old, Fatty Kitty spends her time playing with feathers, trying to go outside even though she isn’t supposed to, and laying in baskets.
As for Baby Kitty, it’s been 3 years since Dr. Greiner’s husband found him in a seed orchard in the low country all by himself at 6 weeks old. He loves rolling over onto his back, laying by the fireplace and underneath the Christmas tree, his crunchy ladybug toy, and opening and closing doors.

A client requested a virtual look at our kennel since our building is closed to clients. One of our primary kennel assistants Danielle took this request as an opportunity to share some of the ways we operate our kennel:

Shelley and Hannah joined Keep the Midlands Beautiful’s Great American Cleanup of Two Notch Rd. this morning. They were able to work right by Gregg Animal Hospital. A few of the dangers litter poses to both domestic animals and wildlife are foreign body obstruction, toxic ingestion, laceration, asphyxiation, and immobilization.
