We will never forget!!!
With all of the changes we have made in our office to make it safe, we appreciate all of your patience and understanding. From the temp checks, consent forms (for every appointment), waiting in your car, less face to face with parents (which we miss tremendously), and the yummy(I’m sure our patients will say other wise) pre-treatment rinse you all are doing amazing. We received this message on our check in phone this week that just made our day!!!
We can not let the day end without wishing the best Boss a Happy Anniversary. 35 years ago you started this amazing career and we couldn’t be happier to be a part of your awesome practice. Your commitment to your patients and to your staff is beyond words. We are not just employees we are family. And our patients are a huge part of our Griggs Orthodontics family. We look forward to many more years with you. We love you Dr. Griggs!!!
We had a very exciting week. We spent the week in training with Dolphin Imaging & Management Solutions. Our trainer Megan was the absolute best. We are so excited to be using this state of the art managing system to help serve our patients.
We hope everyone has a safe, healthy, and happy Fourth of July!!!
These last 7 months have been hard on everyone. Reach out to the people you love. Reach out to the people you haven’t seen in a while. You never know how they are feeling.
NAMI, The National Alliance on Mental Health has a 24-hour helpline: 800-950-6264.
No shame in asking for help.
Happy Boss’ day to the best boss, friend, teacher, and cheerleader us girls could ever ask for. You make coming to work easy. Thank you for always being there for us and being the best Orthodontist to our patients. We love you Dr. Griggs. 🎉🤗🥰
This would be the time we usually would have been getting ready to welcome everyone to our annual Griggs Orthodontics Halloween carnival. This year unfortunately we can not have our carnival. We will miss seeing everyone in their costumes and playing games. We hope everyone has a wonderful Halloween and stays safe and healthy. 🎃🎃
The Griggs Orthodontic’s family would like to recognize all who have served, past and present. We Thank You!

Here is our year 2020 in review, starting from January thru December. We started the year off saying “see you later” to Julie who retired after over 30 years and ending the year trying to have some fun with the holidays wearing our holiday socks. During the year we went to Austin, TX( pre-covid) for a dental convention, celebrated national sibling day, sheltered in place, re-opened our office to patient’s, celebrated Dr. Griggs 35th anniversary in practice and then the holidays. This year has been very different but we are leaving it with many memories. Thank you to everyone for all of your patience and support as we navigate this difficult time. We hope everyone has a safe and healthy New Year!!! See you in 2021 😀🎆🎉
Griggs Orthodontics is doing our part to not just protect ourselves, but our patients as well. In the spirit of solidarity we are proud to share our vaccine cards. We are grateful for the opportunity to provide a safe and sanitary environment. #beatcovid #staysafe #moderna

On this day Griggs Orthodontics is celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King. In the unsettled times we are currently in today we are reminded that we can all make a difference!
“The time is always right to do what is right.” - Dr. King
In honor of Black History Month, Griggs Orthodontics will be sharing influential people within the dental community. We are going to share one person each week throughout the month. Orthodontics is our passion and our first individual of influence is Dr. Wendell Cotton. He was the first African American Orthodontist to open a private practice. Dr. Wendell Cotton also went to UCSF's Orthodontic program, the program Dr. Griggs graduated from as well. This is a wonderful piece of history to share.

In honor of national patient appreciation week, we would like to take a moment and thank each and every one of you for being the best patients we could ask for. We are very lucky to have had the pleasure to work with all of you. We look forward to the future and continuing to be able to treat all of you. We love you all! 🥰🤗
For our second influential person we chose Dr. Robert T. Freeman. After being selected as one of "the first six-persons" to enter Harvard's Dental Program. He shortly became the first African American to graduate with a dental degree in the United States on March 10, 1869.

Our third person was influential in many ways. We chose Dr. Ida Gray Nelson Rollins, she became the first African American woman to graduate with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in the United States back in 1887. She overcame many hurdles in her life.

There a so many influential people to choose from, so for our final person of the month we chose Dr. George Franklin Grant. He not only was a dentist but he was the first African American faculty member at Harvard University. We hope you enjoyed learning about the amazing people as much as we did.
