We believe that all independent automotive repair shops should have the right to access the diagnostic information related to the mechanical data transmitted wirelessly from a car, known as telematics. That system, often found in late-model cars, monitors and remits real-time readings on the vehicle back to the manufacturer. If the manufacturers keep this information private, it will force consumers to have to go to the dealers which removes the consumers' right to choose their provider.

1. It lubricates engine parts to prevent metal to metal contact and cleans up dirty deposits created during the combustion process.
2. Engine oils are rated in two ways: cold viscosity and hot viscosity, which indicates how the oil will respond to cold start ups.
3. Synthetic oils are distilled and rebuilt for better performance while mineral oils are essentially the same as when they are pulled from the ground.
4. Synthetic oils are more than just oil - they are scientifically modified to provide anti-wear, anti-oxidant, and anti-corrosion properties.
5. Added titanium in oils can actually reduce friction and engine wear.
6. Added magnetic particles in oil can also be beneficial because the magnetic particles cling to the engine to reduce wear upon start-up.

How often your transmission fluid will need to be replaced depends upon the make and model of your vehicle. Your vehicle’s manufacturer will recommend the correct interval. However, transmission fluid that looks dark brown, dirty, or sludgy should be replaced.

Question One - Right to Repair
Massachusetts voters voted 86% in 2012 to require car companies to make available repair information and diagnostics. But now big auto is using the next generation of wireless technology to get around the law and shut out independent repair shops. That’s not what we voted for.

Oh Hello Winter! Do you flip your wipers up when we are awaiting snow?
Putting the wipers up and away from the windshield makes it easier to clean the windshield if it snows and eliminates the chance that the wipers will freeze to the windshield.
