Guillermo Moguel-Cobos, MD, is a neurologist in the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute. He is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Moguel-Cobos specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. He is trained in evaluating patients for deep brain stimulation surgery and in managing patients after the procedure. He is also trained in giving botulinum toxin (Botox) injections for movement disorders, spasticity, and migraines. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society, and the American Headache Society.
Dr. Moguel-Cobos received his medical degree from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education). He completed his residency in neurology and fellowships both in movement disorders and in deep brain stimulation at Barrow Neurological Institute.
Dr. Moguel-Cobos’ research interests are in dystonia, botulinum toxin treatment, deep brain stimulation, Parkinson’s disease, and essential tremor.
