Here’s a rare example of a 1959 Epiphone Triumph Regent. What makes this one unique you ask? Most obvious being the addition of the neck pickup and electronics. However in 1957 the Chicago Musical Instrument company (CMI), who owned Gibson at the time, acquired the Epiphone brand and all remaining stock from their New York factory. Very few instruments if any were manufactured during the transition between 1956-1957, which leaves us with New York built parts assembled at their new Kalamazoo home. Right along side their fabled familial counterpart - the 1959 Les Paul.
